A $10.6 million renovation to the Coronary Intensive Care and Cardiology Units at the CHU de Québec-Université Laval (CHUL) was completed to meet the compliance requirements of the latest seismic safety standards, optimize clinical needs and ensure the highest quality and safety of patient care by increasing privacy for all users and creating better infection prevention measures.
HCR spent four months planning for the patient and equipment move into the newly renovated area. Following completion, HCR worked in cooperation with CHUL staff to coordinate the internal relocation of nine patients into the newly renovated area during a single day move in August 2019.
