Health Care Relocations worked cooperatively with the Capital Planning Project Team and their staff to facilitate the relocation of equipment, furnishings and patients from the existing West Wing to the new 7 storey Polson Tower.  Over many months, planning meetings and interviews were conducted to formulate the most efficient methods for move sequencing while keeping in mind patient care and safety.

In June, HCR performed the Owner Purchased Owner Installed (OPOI) portion of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital receiving numerous shipments and completing their subsequent installations.  The 1st patient move, which consisted of 29 patients, was completed on Sunday, September 25th with the patient population arriving on the new site every 3 minutes. In December, HCR planned and coordinated the internal patient move of the West Tower involving 90 patients, their belongings and the associated equipment and supplies for the units moving.
