RiverView Health is a community owned, not-for-profit health system that owns and operates a hospital and numerous outpatient care clinics in Crookston, Minnesota.
The $51 million project, called “RiverView 2020”, saw the construction of a two-story, 81,000 ft² facility to replace RiverView’s existing hospital and clinics. This new space allowed the hospital to consolidate all of their services that were previously spread out in different areas into a single location. Phase I involved twenty one single-occupancy inpatient rooms on the top floor, forty eight exam rooms, four procedure rooms and four consultation rooms on the main floor, as well as new and improved spaces for the Gift Shop, Patient Access, Conference Rooms, etc. Phase II saw the Pharmacy moved into a bigger state-of-the-art facility.
HCR was selected to provide building and staff readiness planning and relocation services for both assets and patients moving into the new facility from the existing hospital and three clinics. HCR spent nearly a year working with RiverView Health to ensure that both the building and their staff were well-prepared for the transition. HCR also developed detailed move plans and schedules for the relocation of all assets and patients. Once ready for occupancy, HCR executed those plans and completed the move over four consecutive days in October 2020. Following the move, HCR consolidated all redundant assets remaining at the direction of the facility.
