Health Care Relocations worked with the hospital’s transition team  for almost four years and  during that time, the Project Managers completed the organizational requirements necessary to facilitate the relocation to the modern, state-of-the-art health centre which features a new MRI service, expanded dialysis services, and future capacity for 124 patients.  The facility was the first regional health care facility in Nova Scotia to achieve LEED certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

HCR provided the advance planning, scheduling, and the physical relocation of furnishings, materials, inventory, medical equipment and supplies. In addition, they organized the planning and coordination of the patient movement from the existing site to the new site located approximately one kilometer away.  The timely and efficient relocation of 91 patients was completed in a dignified manner and one hour ahead of schedule.
