Norman Regional Health is a multi-campus health system that provides for the health and wellness needs of residents throughout south-central Oklahoma.
The Norman Regional HealthPlex campus underwent an extensive multi-year expansion project, spanning from 2021 – 2024, which involved the construction of a new 650,000 ft² / 307-bed critical care tower, as well as the remodeling of the emergency department and the creation of an additional ambulatory care building. This extra space allowed Norman Regional Health to move their emergency, intensive care, surgery and inpatient care services from their nearby Porter Campus, consolidating them with services at the Norman Regional HealthPlex, to improve both the quality and availability of patient care within the region. After the consolidation, the Norman Regional HealthPlex changed its name to Norman Regional Hospital, and the Porter Campus became referred to as the Porter Health Village, which still houses an education center, medical oncology and business services.
In cooperation with CBRE Healthcare, HCR provided transition planning and relocation services for the project, including staff and asset relocation planning, physical relocation of assets, patient transfer planning and patient transfer coordination.
