Northern Health operates over two dozen hospitals, several long-term care facilities, public health units and a number of addictions and mental health facilities that deliver health care to the residents of thirty-two communities and fifty-five First Nation communities across six regional districts of Northern British Columbia.

In the summer of 2021, Northern Health began the construction of two new buildings on the north end of their Mills Memorial Hospital site, to replace both the existing hospital and the existing Seven Sisters mental health facility. The new 356,500 ft², 78-bed Ksyen Regional Hospital more than doubled the size of the previous facility, allowing them to address both current and future patient care needs, and the 20,000 ft², 25-bed Seven Sisters mental health building provided them with the additional space required to increase the number of mental health beds offered.

HCR provided a variety of transition services to the project, beginning in 2022, under agreement with PCL Construction (Project Co.). This included Building and Staff Readiness Planning, Dockmaster Services, Installation of Owner-Purchased / Owner Installed Items, IT Roll-Out, Asset Transfer Planning, Physical Relocation of Assets, Patient Transfer Planning, Patient Transfer Coordination and Asset Consolidation services.
