Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, commonly referred to as “Children’s”, is Georgia’s leading pediatric healthcare provider, operating three hospitals, the Hughes Spalding Hospital, Egleston Hospital, and Scottish Rite Hospital, as well as nearly thirty neighborhood locations in the metropolitan Atlanta area.

The massive $1.5 billion North Druid Hills Campus project involved the construction of a brand new 70-acre campus to replace the existing 682,000 ft² / 330-bed Egleston Hospital. Completed in late 2024, the 19-story, 2,000,000 ft², Arthur M. Blank Hospital houses 446 beds, which increased Children’s overall bed capacity by 116 beds and becoming the heart at the center of a new state-of-the-art campus, which also features a 260,000 ft² Center for Advanced Pediatrics, a 325,000 ft² Outpatient Clinic.

HCR first became involved in the project in 2020. We were retained to provide Asset Move Planning, Physical Move Coordination, and Post Move Decommissioning services in support of the project. In late 2021, HCR was also retained by Children’s to provide Warehouse Staffing and Management, Installation of Owner-Purchased / Owner Installed Items (OPOI), and Physical Relocation services.
