Midland, Ontario, Canada

40,000 ft² | 3,716 m²

The two-story, 40,000 ft² Midland Community Health Hub was constructed to consolidate mental health care and primary care services in the Midland area that were previously spread across three separate facilities – the Chigamik Community Health Centre, the Waypoint Out Patient Services Centre and the Waypoint HERO (Housing, Employment, Rehabilitation and Our Place Social Club programs) Centre.

HCR was selected to provide relocation services to the project. This included planning and scheduling the moves, coordinating with necessary vendors and performing the physical relocation of all reuse assets moving from each of the three existing buildings, as well as offices that were moved from the Waypoint Bayfield Building. HCR also worked in cooperation with the facility’s IT departments to relocate their server racks, computers and other IT components.

The moves were initially to take place in late 2019, however, due to construction delays had to be postponed until Spring 2020. HCR accommodated these changes and completed the relocations over a 4-day period in late May 2020.
