HCR partnered with Sainte-Justine Hospital, the largest mother-child center in Canada, and one of the University of Montreal’s leading hospitals, to assist them with transitioning all staff, patients, equipment, and research lab into two new buildings, which were constructed as a part of their Growing Up Healthy modernization project. By creating a detailed two-phase move plan and providing all physical relocation services, HCR was able to minimize any risks while ensuring a timely and seamless transition of 232 patients and over 4600 pieces of equipment from the existing facility into the new Special Care Unit and Research Center buildings. The relocation was completed in 2 10-day move phases – the first in December 2016 (including the inpatients and clinical moves), and the second in January 2017 involving the research facility moves.
