180,000 ft² | 16,720 m² | 65 Beds
The new Selkirk Regional Health Center was created to better accommodate the needs of the area’s residents with more beds and over 180,000 ft² of care, providing many services not previously provided in the region. Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority selected HCR to provide Operational Readiness, Facility Activation, Relocation and Patient Move planning and consultancy services in anticipation of the opening to ensure that all programs and services were ready to begin immediate operations on the very first day of occupancy. The constructor, Ellis Don, retained HCR to perform the assembly and installation of certain medical equipment to outfit the new facility. HCR also planned and performed the physical relocation of all reuse assets, and planned and coordinated the patient transfer. HCR’s detailed planning and scheduling allowed every aspect of this project to align seamlessly, resulting in an organized, safe and efficient relocation.
