For over two years, Health Care Relocations worked diligently and cooperatively with all stakeholders including Integrated Team Solutions, the facility, departmental leaders, and staff to complete the thorough transitional planning activities in support of the entire move and occupancy planning process. HCR provided the overall planning, scheduling and performed the physical relocations from some off site locations and more significantly of all items, staff and patients from the Oak Ridge and Brébeuf buildings into the long anticipated maximum security Atrium building. The successful relocation was broken into 4 distinct phases.
During Phase One and Two, the pharmacy was relocated and the consolidation of redundant assets took place. Phase Three involved the movement of items from several buildings on the existing campus in addition to the first of two patient relocations. To ensure the transition was a smooth one for patients, the relocation of patients was conducted in two phases with the first one being the patient population of 20 from the Brébeuf building.
The Final Phase was the largest, providing for the safe migration of several inpatient units from the existing Oak Ridge building that included 160 patients. At the conclusion of the patient move, HCR again consolidated the redundant assets, this time from the Oak Ridge building.
