The Squamish Senior Citizens Home Society assists in providing affordable housing for senior citizens over the age of fifty-five in Squamish, British Columbia. Since its inception in 1970, the Squamish Senior Citizens Home Society has operated out of two separate facilities – The Manor and The Cedars. Vancouver Coastal Health runs the Supported Housing Program out of both homes, which provide activities and support for tenants.

The Westwinds Affordable Housing Complex Project saw the construction of a new 140,000 ft² / 232-unit facility. This allowed for The Squamish Senior Citizens Home Society to consolidate both of their existing locations into one and more than doubled the number of units available for seniors in need of housing.

HCR was selected to provide Asset Transfer Planning and Physical Relocation Services for the project. Following months of detailed planning, HCR performed the seamless relocation of furniture and contents moving from both existing buildings into the new facility. This move was completed over nine days in April of 2022.
